Direct Service Volunteers

Volunteers have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors of domestic violence by completing our comprehensive 40-hour Counselor/Advocate Training. This training prepares volunteers to provide compassionate, informed support to victims and their children as they navigate difficult circumstances and work toward safety and healing.

Upon completion, trained volunteers can serve in a variety of vital roles, including assisting with our 24-hour hotline, providing counseling and advocacy support, helping with children’s programming and childcare, facilitating community support groups, or serving as on-call medical advocates in hospital emergency rooms. Whether offering a listening ear, supporting a child, or advocating for a survivor in crisis, volunteers play an essential role in ensuring that no one has to face domestic violence alone.
